The Parish of Saint Paul, Winlaton is a member of the Church of England and is part of the Diocese of Durham. The parish was formed in 1832 and serves the village of Winlaton, Winlaton Mill, Blaydon Burn, Bleach Green and most of the High View and "Hole in the Wall" estates. The church was built to a design by Ignatius Bonomi and was consecrated in 1828. The parish is also part of a "locality" ministry with the parishes of High Spen/Rowlands Gill and Chopwell
